Hello the essay is about the theories used to design my building project in another class. The building is: a multidisciplinary arts centre that is used to for people to express their voice through various forms of art, especially music. This centre is also a music school with band practice room, music recording studio, art exhibition, and a performance venue. Something that can be the subject of the essay is how accoustics are neccessary to understand in designing such a building with many uses and loud spaces. Also how important it is for this multi use building to be split up mindfully of the privacy of access to certain spaces within the building, as some spaces are very private access – such as classes, offices, meeting rooms etc and very public access spaces such as the reception, art gallery, exhibition, and performance venue. The design (shown in the floorplans) shows how each side of the building has done this successfully. The brief is attached below, and the citation format is UWE harvard style.
