Bio-psycho-social-cultural Assessment II (BPSCA-II): (100 points): Competency 1-1.2; 1.3; Competency
2-2.2; Competency 6-6.2; Competency 8-8.2. The Instructor will provide a “guest client/case study” to class for
students to “contemplate.” In addition, each student is to submit a genogram with this assignment. Your paper
(the body) should be 7-12 pages. In addition, you must include a title page and reference page. Your genogram is
an appendix. More detail will be provided in class and in D2L. Points will be deducted for papers that fall short
of the page number minimum. Title page, reference page, genogram and other appendices DO NOT count
toward the page numbers
Kalief Browder is the case that will be used for the BPSCS II paper and genogram assignment. As you write about Kalief and assess him, consider the mezzo/meso and macro considerations present. This paper must be thorough and should be your very best work. I will address questions/concerns regarding this assignment in class tonight. You may use your assessment tool(s) as a guide. However, this is a paper and I expect that you will expand on the categories on the assessment tool(s) as needed.
I have provided you with an MP4 file of the 1st part of The Kalief Browder story. This is all you need to complete your paper. However, the rest of the story can be found on Netflix if you are interested in gathering additional information. You may also search the media for additional reports, articles, stories to contribute to your paper.
Kalief and his family lived through unspeakable horrors and I need for you to respect his story and write about it using all of the social work skills and concepts that you have learned thus far. This assignment requires your full attention and effort. I will accept no less from you.
