I wrote this paper but my teacher needs me to make some changes. I need you to look at the feedback and help me make the corrections. Here is the feedback my teacher gave me

We will discuss in class tuesday – the apologia is not an apology, but a defensive speech. socrates represented himself in court, probably an ego-driven mistake on his part. there were two charges: Corrupting the Youth and Disrespecting the Gods.
in the analysis, look at each charge separately. Did he really corrupt the youth? he merely told them to QUESTION EVERYTHING – the problem was, that in Athens at that time there was no freedom of speech. Scorates instruction to question everything challenged the status quo and threatened the power of the most powerful athenians. But speech such as question everything does fall within free speech parameters, so this charge would not exist today.
Disrespecting the Gods came from Socrates flippant attitude about Mt Olympus and the Greek Gods. He casually dismissed the Athenian notion that all the gods lived on Mt Olympus and controlled the fate of men from there. He publicly stated that most athenians had a childish & simplistic view of the gods, religion & spirituality. He wanted them to question their beliefs, dig deeper and find a more meaningful connection to the spirit world. such a position today would be protected by freedom of religion, another freedom that Athens did not have.
You see Socrates is our first great western philosopher, everything he said & did has been studied & analyzed. He was impacted and shaped the very way Westerners see & think about the world. And this wise teacher was executed for WHAT HE SAID and WHAT HE BELIEVED. Freedom of Speech & Religion are two of our most valuable and important freedoms in the west. And we learned from the example of socrates what can happen when these freedoms are not protected. even a 70 year wise old teacher can be executed.
