Each student will be required to write an annotated bibliography on a topic of their choosing that relates to their major and information literacy. An annotated bibliography is a compilation of citations for books, periodicals, and other scholarly documents. Each citation should be followed by a brief (150 words) descriptive and (150 words) evaluative summary (the annotation). The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. Students will be required to identify six (6) academic sources and write a one paragraph summary and one paragraph evaluation (analysis) of each source.
The bibliography should follow the APA 7th edition standards used in this course, with the exception that no listing should be split across two pages. This assignment is due at the start of the fifth course (12:00 PM) and should include at least one example each for the following types of source material:
Book
Periodical (trade journal, magazine or newspaper)
Website
All of the source material should be related to a topic of your choosing that relates to your major and information literacy.
