The type of literature review that will be conducted for this project is a systematic review where the writer/researcher will provide an overview of the existing literature pertinent to his/her research question(s) and problem.

This portion of your paper may consist of a summary of the key sources, which will highlight the significant work that has been conducted on your research topic. This area allows for an examination of the information in a way that helps the researcher to plan how to investigate the research problem he or she has chosen for his study. The researcher may give a new interpretation of old material after the summary of that existing source has been conducted, trace the intellectual progress of the field or subject, advise the reader and evaluate the most important research on the subject and identify where gaps exist in the literature about the subject or problem that is being researched.

A critical appraisal of the existing literature will be conducted, which will consist of collecting, reporting, and analyzing the data from the studies in the review.
You may organize the literature in a chronological format, by publication (if the researcher is attempting to show important trends by way of publications on the subject or research problem), thematically, or methodologically.
The literature review should be typed in Times New Roman 12-point font and double-spaced.
