The research question you are posing

The research project for this course asks you to choose a topic related to British literature from 1780 to the present, which can be one or more specific authors or texts, a historical event or cultural phenomenon, or other issue that has to do with the time period and parameters of the course.
The first part of this project is to write a 3-5-page Proposal that explains your topic and plans, Include in your Proposal the following:
Some background into the topic, including any necessary definitions or explanations
The research question you are posing
A preliminary outline for your essay
The Proposal is a relatively informal assignment, but it should still be clear, well-organized, and carefully edited, keeping in mind that your purpose is to convince me that you are capable of writing a strobcing essay on this topic.
