You are given a case study on Graphcore. Critically apply ONE of the core IB theories introduced to a comparative analysis of Graphcore’s prospects for internationalisation
into TWO countries* of your choice. *NB. As the case study firm is British and the above article already details
expansion into Singapore, students are NOT permitted to select the UK or Singapore.
I’d like to apply for ECLECTIC PARADIGM (please structure the Essay based on the O-L-I model: Ownership advantages, Location advantages, Internalization advantages). You don’t have to choose the best-fitting country to apply the theory, it is up to you. You can choose even a country in which you can explain why that country is not suitable for that model, explaining the limitations of that. I will provide you with files in which guidelines are explained in detail, files in which are written the sources we are supposed to use (I will give you my personal account detail for access to the Kortext platform where you can find my core textbook, mandatory to use as resource or citation) and files where you can find essential reading that needs to be used as sources or citation in the essay; you can also find the PowerPoint of lesson in which this model was explained. This work is a CRITICAL EVALUATION of the Eclectic Paradigm applied to the two countries chosen, so it is essential not merely to describe the model, maybe a couple of lines just to introduce it, but it is vital to show CRITICAL THINKING and EVALUATION of the model.
