There are 10 readings attached to this order:
Answer a series of five questions. These
questions serve as an outline to think critically about the readings and organize thoughts
into a cohesive analysis of the material. Answer all questions. You do not have to repeat each
question, but please number each of your answers. You should include in-text citations for all of
the unit’s articles you discuss and create a references page. Answers should be in essay format to complete 5 pages.
Questions :
1) Using a maximum of two sentences, state the main idea or the thesis of this group of
readings.
2) Explain the overall message of the entire set of readings. What do these readings have
in common? How are they connected and how do they complement each other? Are there
any places where there are opposing ideas? If so, address these issues.
3) Briefly summarize each reading. What evidence do the authors present to support their
theories/arguments? In other words, discuss the arguments that each author makes using
the language and main concepts from the readings. Explain with specific examples from
the readings.
4) How did the readings relate to current events and the current social environment?
Explain how the ideas from Unit 2 readings connect to events that you see around you.
5) Write three discussion questions about the readings. Explain why each question is
important and describe how the authors address, or fail to address, your questions.
