CEO Deese is preparing for the next Nitro Hardware Company corporate board meeting. The board is concerned about protecting the corporate digital infrastructure as Nitro Hardware expands in the future. The board will be voting on opening 10 new stores this year. Submit a report that discusses how you plan to deploy a network-based Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in the Nitro Hardware Company stores.
Develop a presentation for Mr. Deese to use in his presentation to the board. The document should meet the following objectives:
• Define and explain what an IDS is in both technical and layman’s terms.
• Include graphics to illustrate the technology.
• Demonstrate the benefits to an IDS in use
• Include estimated costs to implement the system
Include at least three (3) graphics which illustrate how a IDS works. If you use a graphic captured from the web, cite your source. The title slide should introduce Mr. Deese. Include your name in the notes section only. (You’re ghostwriting this for the CEO in his presentation). The only APA style needed is in formatting the sources. Cite a minimum of two (2) sources of information.
