and involve teachers and students in collecting and analyzing data.
After reading the article on “Toward more effective data use in teaching” in Module 1: Lecture Materials & Resources, discuss the following:

this article, the author describes four major findings from the study.
The first has to do with the two main kinds of data teachers use to
inform their teaching; the second with the ways in which teachers draw
upon data when making complex, moment-to-moment decisions; the third
with the systems schools need to build to support smart data use in
teaching; and the fourth with the role students can play in the process.
