You are required to watch this video; it’s about an hour long. If the link gets broken, go to www.pbs.org and do a search for the video called Cliffhanger. The discussion board questions should be answered using the video as the main source. The book and notes provide you with concept understanding but the point of the discussion board is to watch the video and apply what you saw to the questions. Answer the following questions in complete sentences after watching the video in a discussion board post.
Questions:
1) Can the President of the United States (doesn’t matter from which political party, I am talking about the Office of the U.S. Presidency in general and not just about the current president) make long term decisions when people think in short term election cycles? Explain and elaborate
2) What role does the Congress, in particular the leadership of Congress play in the ability of the President to make or not make decisions? Can the President just act alone? Explain and elaborate
3) What are your thoughts about the power dynamic between the leadership of Congress and the Office of the Presidency? Explain and elaborate
4) What did you learn from this video? Any thoughts and observations about the video (likes or dislikes)? Explain and elaborate
Don’t type the questions again just number your answers on your disucssion board post and put a space between question.
Your post must be 400 words minimum and 500 words maximum.
please keep your font simple and small 12pt. (no bold large font)
Number your answers but do not retype the questions.
Put a space between each question so it is easier to read each answer.
Make sure it is formatted correctly. Your discussion board should not run as a long sentence all the way to the right of the web page.
The discussion board has to be at least 400 minimum AND maximum of 500 words. (Not each question 400 words but the whole thing should be 400 words.)
