Throughout this course, you will be gathering references to include in your paper. These references will be cited, using APA standards, in the text of your paper. These are called in-text citations. Any time you relay a fact or idea that is not your own, you need to place an in-text citation next to the sentence.
Lastly, you will compile all of your references on a references page. Just like a good, peer-reviewed article, finding a relevant and available case study for your project, can be like finding a needle in a haystack. However the search is well worth the effort.
As your team reads through your proposal, they will feel much more confident in your proposed solutions if they see that your solutions have already been successful at other firms, and in similar situations.
When conducting a search for case studies, start with identifying the over-arching theme of your soft skill scenario. Narrow it down to one word or phrase, for example: professional development.
Start with the Ryan online library (you can also use public libraries as well as other college libraries if you have access). It is recommended to start with an ‘Advanced Search’ and choosing a couple different key words. For example, include (case study or case studies or cases) as part of your search. Check out these sample searches:

**Remember to select the option for Peer reviewed articles**
