The goal of this research paper is to research a particular program or technique in which crime analysis is used and understand how it is practiced in three police agencies. The first part of the research paper includes a literature review on a particular topic selected by you. The review will contain academic journal articles, government reports, practical reports, and/or book chapters related to that topic. Popular magazines and articles will not be allowed unless previously approved by the professor. The literature review should focus on the most current information (past three to seven years), should be thorough in its coverage of the topic, and should be between 9-13 pages.
The second part of the research paper will contain 3 case studies of your topic. In other words, you will contact three separate police agencies and obtain information about their practices (related to your particular topic). You will then describe their practices and relate them back to the literature review. Each case study should be between 2 and 4 pages. Additional material (agency products) can and should be included in the report but are not counted as pages of the paper.
The final paper is due no later than Sunday, June 5, 2022.
The assignment is to be type-written and double spaced, using Time New Roman, 12 font. You will use APA style for your citations.
