Students are asked to write an essay of around 6000 words on a topic/question that relates to some aspect(s) of the contents of Arts, Culture & Education. The essay should review and discuss approaches and perspectives drawn from the literature relevant to the topic/question that has been chosen (perspectives/approaches/research findings are introduced in class or found through assigned readings or​‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌​ further focused readings relevant to the topic). Students are encouraged to critically assess these perspectives, and to bring into the discussion their own personal experiences/views where appropriate and relevant. The choice of the topic should be decided in discussion with the module organizer who will be available to meet individually with all students specifically to discuss their proposed topics for this assignment​‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌​.
