To begin your research first click on the “Grades” section of Canvas and find the number under the section titled, “Assigned Chapter for Paper. (or me it is chapter 8” This number is not being counted for a grade but rather is the number of the chapter that you have been assigned for your research topic in the Open Stax Textbook (Links to an external site.) (Links to an external site.). The number posted is the Chapter you have been assigned (chapters were randomly assigned).
To select an issue/topic for your paper:
Go through the chapter you have been assigned. For example, if you were assigned chapter 17-Government and Politics, read through the chapter and select any specific issue/topic introduced or discussed in that chapter such as: issues in representative democracy, problems with voter participation, Etc…
Topic must be from the chapter assigned or no credit will be awarded.
