For your Week 1 Homework, review one of your three articles (see details below) as discussed in the Term/Summary Project Overview below, and write a two paragraph synopsis summarizing the economic challenge that was discussed in the article. Then, discuss a possible suggestion/solution for this challenge. Make sure to consider the implications of your suggestions, potential negative consequences and ultimately, the intended goal of those plans.

Term Project Overview – Due End of Week 3
For your Term/Economic Summary Project, you will be exploring 3 economic challenges facing the United States today, and further, making a suggestion that may help the U.S. overcome this challenge. You will need to discuss the implications of this suggestion (or suggestions), the potential negative consequences of this solution and ultimately, the intended goal of the proposed plan.
The purpose of your Project is to demonstrate your understanding, comprehension, and mastery of the following concepts:
Develop both competence and confidence through reading about economics
Working with problems and cases that include real-life experiences with the subject
Use economic terminology
Throughout this course you will be acquiring knowledge on economic topics, theories, as well as terminology. You will apply this new knowledge to your Term Project. First, you will identify a current economic topic. You can choose your topic from the options listed below, or you may choose a current topic that interests you.
Once you have chosen your topic, you will then choose three (3) current readings/articles that are directly related to your topic from a credible source. Suggestions for sources are listed below as well. Every week you will review one of your three articles, and write a two paragraph synopsis summarizing the reading/economic challenge discussed in the reading, and further discussing the potential solutions to this challenge. You will need to make sure to discuss the implications, potential consequences, and goal of their proposed solution to the economic challenge faced in the U.S. today.
At the completion of Week 3 you will have accumulated three article summaries, one summary for each economic challenge/solution. You will then compile your three completed written summaries, a cover page, and a properly formatted APA References Page including a link to each article, in a professional portfolio to submit for grading at the end of Week 3.

3. APA Formatted References Page including links to selected articles. A minimum of 4 references must be used for this paper.
