What’s new about new Media? (1500 words) -10+10%
Consider one of the topics introduced in the module (i.e. interactivity, ubiquitous computing, social media, virality, affect theory etc.) and make that the focus of your research report. ( I would like you to focus on Social Media if that’s okay.)
Stage Two (research)
For the second part of this assessment you have to work individually to collect data using a methodological research tool (i.e. focus group, interview, questionnaire or other method introduced in the module).
Stage Three (report) Finally, drawing on the data gathered from the second part of the assessment write a report covering the following
· Provide an analysis of the data that reflects on the topic, current debates and controversies and/or research problems that need addressing
· Provide proposals based on the data that suggest ways in which current debates and controversies and/or problems relating to the topic can be addressed
· Conclude your report with a summary of your findings
· Provide evidence of stage two research as an appendix

A clearly identified focus and well identified topic for your report
Consideration of a variety of relevant debates and controversies related to the topic
Body of report (1000)
Reference to appropriate theoretical concepts and methods drawn from the module
