In particular, you are to create your own “story†of how to improve a particular type of training program that you have experienced (or have designed). You must apply a key idea from the class readings (Chapters 4 or 5) and/or live lecture about design and factors impacting learning and transfer. Then, address the following:
Title your case like this: “How we could make our xxx training program more effective by ……†(10 points)
Provide a description of the training program you are focusing on. Describe the key objectives and design of the training and how was it delivered. Then, describe two positive aspect of the program design or delivery that should be retained in the program if it was to continue. (30 points)
Identify and describe specific things that should be incorporated into the training program based on the ideas from the textbook or live lectures – what would you incorporate, and how would you incorporate it into the program? (30 points)
Based on readings/live lecture, discuss why you think your suggestions will have a positive impact on learning and transfer of learning to the job. Make sure you use the material from the book and/or lectures to justify why the changes you are suggesting in question 3 will enhance learning and/or transfer. (30 points)
