Module 3 Discussion Board – California’s Energy Env1

Prompt: California has among the most ambitious clean energy policies in the nation. The state wants 33 percent of our electricity to come from renewable resources by 2020, 44 percent by 2024, 52 percent by 2027, and 60 percent by 2030. Additionally, the state has made a commitment that renewable energy resources and zero-carbon resources supply 100 percent of all retail sales of electricity by 2045. Also, Governor Newsom just passed an executive order that by 2035, all new cars and passenger trucks sold in California be zero-emission vehicles. What is your opinion on these policies?  Can we actually meet these goals?  What would need to be done to meet the goals? Support.
