This is meant to be an individual assignment, however, you may
choose to work with a partner. Again, optional, not required. Consider the pros
and cons of working with a partner in an online class. It can be beneficial,
especially if you know someone outside of class, but it can also be challenging.
If you are looking for a partner, you can use this discussion board to communicate with your classmates.
Understand that if you decide to work with a partner, you are taking on the
risk and it is your responsibility to work through communication challenges,
workload issues and other problems that could arise when working with others.
If you decide to work with a partner, both students need to submit the same
assignment under their own name but include both partners’ names on their
documents.
1) Select a company from this LIST (Links to an external

Fortune 500 companies. You can use the filters to find companies in a
particular city or state (some are San Diego-based), industry (like apparel or
healthcare), those that “Change the World” or those
experiencing “Job Growth.” Only one student per company. 2) Next, go to this
page to submit your
company of choice. Make sure no other student has selected this company. If
someone has selected the same company, you need to select a different one.
First come, first serve. This is now your “corporate companion” for
the rest of the semester.
3) Using the Fortune 500 data and your company’s website,
answer the following questions below, for your corporate companion and submit
your findings under this assignment. Number your answers. If you go
to the company website, you may have to find a link to “corporate info” or
“about us” or “company profile.” to access company
