In this
reflection you are inventing a couple who seek therapy. Any age. Include some
aspect of culture that is relevant to the couple’s situation. Use the following
categories.
Edit out all
unnecessary phrases, casual writing, and non-professional language.
Intake
Describe the
couple’s situation. Include: age, gender identity, ethnic/ cultural identity,
family situation, economic status, cognitive ability, emotional expression, and
other individual, family, social, and cultural factors.
Consider a
family systems approach or a couple’s therapy approach from any of the theories
we have explored or a therapy approach we have not explored.

Explain the
problem. What is the problem, why is it a problem, how does the problem
manifest? Is there a diagnosis? (not necessary)

influence the couple’s situation?

understand/ conceptualize the couple and their situation? Why is this theory
appropriate to work with couples?

training did you obtain to work with couples? What competencies are essential?
