Learners will write current events discussion posts in which they reflect on contemporary issues regarding labour policy, provide analysis, and recommend resolutions pertaining to these policies. Issues may involve contemporary trends that impact workplace policies, such as globalization, the casualization of work, deunionization, technological change, and others. Learners will define the policy problem and its desired outcome, consider how the different stakeholders (labour, management, government) might view/approach the problem, suggest policy options that could be taken by policymakers, and make a recommendation.
