Please see the attached paper guidelines for the paper. This is a history paper that I am writing on how the Union Cavalry evolved to be an effective fighting force during the American Civil War. My thesis is se to discuss how the Union Cavalry in the first two years of the war lacked the competences and superiority possessed by the Confederacy that permitted them to literally ride circles around the Union. The Union Cavalry’s ability to adapt to the evolving technological advancements in weaponry and tactics during the war empowered them to become an effective offensive force in the latter half of the war. question to answer when writing: Whether advancements in weapon technology and the ability to adapt and incorporate new tactics drove the Union Cavalry from their outdated traditional tactics to a respective offensive fighting force against the Confederacy.
