P‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍aper Prompt: The individual research paper will be a case study of the student’s choice. Students will state a research problem and a research question, drawing on conceptual and analytical approaches of their interest. For this paper, you will be answering —What is the problem? —What are the social issues raised by this problem? —Has this problem been resolved? And if so, has the solution been satisfactory or unsatisfactory to the general public? —What is your position regarding this particular issue? To answer this question, students must provide theoretical sources to support their arguments. You will, however, undergo some research about pertinent material to be discussed. Include a list of references at the very end of the paper. ______________________________________________ Topic: Gender and Sexuality I included 1 article already? only look at chapter 14 (file attached) McIntyre, Lisa. 2013. The Practical Skeptic: Core Concepts in Sociology. New York, New York. .Chapter 14, please explain what is a gendered body. Answer: Gendered bodies are the difference between men and women, not biologically but socially. Their social differences in a culture or society. This can go further to the roles society assigns to men or women specifically, based on gender. Meaning- the article explains that sex is the biological differences that men and women are born with. Meanwhile, gender is the social differences that society decides/ socially constructed. Men and women end up being different not because of their biological differences, but because of the way societies differentiate them. Therefore, the differences in men and women are socially constructed because they will act differently and express different behaviors as a result of being placed in different positions and held to different standards. Naturally- the differences between men and women will come from society’s norms which is why these differences are socially constru‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍cted.
