In the past two weeks you’ve been exploring the themes of masculinity and national fantasy while working towards developing an argument that interests you. Consider everything we have discussed over the course of the session and develop your own essay thesis for this paper. Remember that a good essay will rely on one or two events from your primary text, not
everything. Feel free to conduct your own research, integrate the voices of other scholars whose works I have assigned, or just do a close reading of the text. How you construct the argument is up to you. Most importantly, remember that this assignment asks that you demonstrate
