Hello Class,
This is a reminder that the Museum Papers are due January 9, 2022. January 5th is the last day to submit drafts (emailed) if you would like them to be reviewed by me, prior to submission. I will return them with some feedback. There is a sample paper in the “Ask Questions Here” section of the “Discussions”.
Here are a few pointers:
1. Due to the pandemic, you do not need to physically attend a museum, take the deployed option and go to one of the Online Museums that are offered and choose one work of art to analyze.
2. This is an analysis not a historical paper. The vast majority of your paper should be your use of the Visual Elements of a Composition and the Principles of Design that you learned in the Week-2 Lessons which is under the “Content” section of the classroom.
3. Academic papers should be in Times New Roman, 12 font, double spaced with 1 inch margins. Or Arial, 10 font, double spaced with 1 inch margins. 2 pages will come to approximately 550-600 words. The writing style options you have are MLA, APA, or Chicago. The style that you write in is based on the required writing style of your major. If you do not have a major or do not know which is required of you, use MLA.
4. MLA, APA, or Chicago citations are required. Just providing websites will not count as citing your sources.
