G‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍eorgetown Transfer Application personal statement topic “Please indicate any special talents or skills you possess. You should write in either paragraph or bulleted-list format (250 words)” . Tricky topic. I think I would like to go down the path of my skills or talents being “service to others” – have volunteered hundreds of hours and received several awards (not expected) including the graduating senior service award. desire to serve in military. “adaptability” – being able to work in stressful or face paced environments. “determined” – visualize long term goals and stay on path to achieve. “confidence” I know who i am and live accordingly. “motivated” eager to accomplish a goal I knew i wanted to be a lawyer and in the marine c‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍orps when i was in kindergarten. My oldest brother went enlisted, but I wanted to go the other route to commission as an officer. My plan was to apply to both United States Naval Academy and the NROTC Marine Corps scholarship and I was honored to receive both and had to make the decision. My first choice was to decline the Naval Academy and attend Georgetown on tuition scholarship and then Georgetown for law school. I am not sure if it should be included that this is my second application as an undergrad it might show up under my social security number. I applied early in my senior year, I was deferred to regular admission then denied. I am sure they will notice this is my 2nd attempt (determined, motivated), but not sure if appropriate to be mentioned in the essay. please let me know your thoughts‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍.
