As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you are commonly tabbed to make presentations to stakeholders of the company to properly inform them of legal concepts, as well as recommend action that conforms with civil and criminal law. In this case, you hold this position in a company in the industry of your choosing. You are asked to construct a PowerPoint presentation and present this to a large group of stakeholders. The topic of the presentation is negligence in the industry and strategies to avoid negligent action by those within the company. This is supposed to relate distinctly to the products and/or services offered by the company.
In this presentation, you will use your knowledge of the industry and your research skills to fill the gaps of knowledge in the industry. You will develop the presentation with a focus on the common areas of negligence within the industry. You will also recommend some possible approaches to avoid negligence claims for the company.
The PowerPoint presentation will be 12-15 slides. Within the content of the PowerPoint presentation, you will accomplish the following:
Define negligence.
Provide information about the negligence experienced in the industry.
Explain legal concepts related to negligence in the industry and in general.
Recommend possible approaches to avoid negligence and, ultimately, unintentional tort claims.
All slides in the PowerPoint slideshow should have accompanying slide notes that detail lecture content. All content will be substantive in nature. Please include at least 100 words at least per slide and at least 250 words in the slide notes. Please submit the PowerPoint slideshow and accompanying slide notes.
