you will have to focus on a specific case-study (country, policy issue, political events, international problem) related to a gendered dimension of domestic and global politics. The purpose of this assignment is to allow you the opportunity for more in-depth analysis of a problem or question related to Politics of Gender of particular interest to you, to apply Feminists theories and to further hone your critical thinking and writing skills in defending the positions you put forth. In addition, since we can only address a small subset of country case studies and issues, it gives you the opportunity to explore a case study and policy problem of your interest and choice.
Your case-study analysis should include the following:
a. Overview of the case (situation, context, problem, history, causes, consequences etc.).
b. How would you analyse the case through Feminist lenses?
c. Can you offer any solutions/suggestions on how to resolve the issues presented?
d. What can we learn from your case-study about Politics of Gender? Do your findings confirm or challenge certain things we learned in this class? (Reflection)
Follow this structure and make sure you cover all these 4 points above.
