You may want to discuss some aspect of language policy that has had an impact on you or your ancestors, your language (learning/use) goals, and your current beliefs about issues around language policy. (e.g., should English be the de facto lingua franca of international commerce?), etc. Think about how your experience as a speaker of a language (or languages) has been formed and about who or what has been part of this formation.
