Topic: The topic will be of your choosing as long as it is in line with the criminal justice.
Purpose: The written paper serves as advance organizers to encourage critical thinking and informed participation.
Due: Your paper is due by the date it appears on the course Moodle outline. You have until Thursday of the following assigned week by the end of class to turn in you assignment, unless otherwise noted.
Assessment: The Written Paper Rubric will be used to evaluate the assignment.

· Write a well thought out paper expressing your knowledge of the assignment.
· Suggested length for your assigned question is minimum 500 words.
· You should do all the reading assignment for the week before you write your paper. You should refer and use citations in when appropriate.
· Please save your word document (or pdf) with your name and description of assigned paper as such: ChrisBarber – Paper 1 or in some similar fashion so that the instructor can distinguish “did who write which paper.”
· Written papers shall include a title page or title header, the body of the paper, and a reference page. Use in text citation to give credit to the author from which information you received.
Please remember this is a college level course. This should be written with accepted conventions of standard American English. In other words, capitalize, punctuate and check spelling. Your papers should reflect appropriate college scholarship.
