Values Paper (15% of final grade)
Students will exa1nine their personal values, beliefs, and attitudes
in relation to the NASW Code of Ethics and the values of the social work profession in order to identify
areas of overlap and compatibility and
areas of potential conflict or dissonance. Students will then
discuss ways to handle value conflicts as they may arise in their field internships and in their future practice.
This will bea 3-5-page typed paper, double spaced and must follow the below outline:

II.
Impact of education, work, &
other life experiences on values,
beliefs&
attitudes
III.
Compatibility & conflict of current
values, beliefs, & attitudes with NASW Code of Ethics
IV.
Plan for ways to ensure future
social work practice, including working with
diverse clients and using technology, will follow NASW Code of Ethics
