Title: Power Point – Subculture on Nudism/Naturism Introduction: This assignment will assist you in understanding how sociology looks at different groups by applying the sociological perspective. This assignment fulfills/supports Module Outcome: You will be able to understand what the sociological eye and the sociological imagination will allow you to do Course Outcome: You will be able to recognize and apply the basic sociological terms vital to the understanding of sociology and the major theoretical paradigms to an analysis of social institutions, social structures, and societal issues. General Education Competencies: You will be able to communicate effectively using the American Standard English in professional and academic environments. You will be able to use critical thinking to analyze problems and make logical decisions. You will be able to demonstrate computer literacy. You will be able to demonstrate socialization skills that support cultural awareness and a global perspective. The Assignment: Choose a subculture you may be a part of or from the list provided, and introduce to the class and myself in the form of a Power Point presentation. For the remainder of this assignment, look under Resources for details concerning this assignment. This is a mandatory assignment. Regardless of your average, you must submit this paper to receive a passing grade. If you are having trouble submitting through SafeAssign, you can always email it to me. Acceptable Length: At least 15-22 slides Formatting Requirements: Put your name, course and section number, and assignment title at the top of the document. Use one-inch margins. Use a 12-point Times New Roman font. Use double line spacing in the document. Use a presentation program such as Power Point, Prezi, etc. Grading Criteria: You will be graded on content (how many of the points you addressed), sources cited, length, and how well you described some of the points. The more thorough, the better. Submit timely. To Submit: Using Powerpoint, save the document with a filename that includes the assignment title, your first initial, and last name, and submit through Safe Assign.
