This module’s readings helped build upon your understanding of the requirements necessary to keep aircraft maintained. This includes reliability and safety, maintenance costs, and the technical skills needed to conduct maintenance, now and in the future.
While the FAA provides general guidance on the requirements of an effective maintenance program, the air carrier (and in turn the maintenance manager) is responsible for the successful implementation of these elements into the maintenance program itself. The key elements that fall under this responsibility are listed below.
