This is a personal expression essay (by using 6 personal photos) for NYU’s Maste

This is a personal expression essay (by using 6 personal photos) for NYU’s Master Business Program. Your task is to rephrase/edit my rough draft introduction and caption: 1. A brief introduction or overview of my personal expression (no more than 3 sentences). [70-100 words]. 2. A one-sentence caption for each of the six photos that helps explain why they were selected and are significant to me to the admission committee. [20-30 words per image; total 120-180 words] No personal identifier is included in this order. See attached pdf for detailed instructions, photos, and the draft that needed to be edited. The goal is to make every caption smooth, in line with the theme from introduction. It is OK to not change much if you think that caption is good enough. If you need any additional information or details for a specific image, please let me know. I’m empathetic and curious about the people around me, and I understood the importance of taking the initiative and breaking my comfort zones to find what I love. My Pick Six is about my journey of learning and adaptation; while working with people/helping others, I try to make every situation pleasant using my positivity and encouragement no matter what environment I am in. Draft Caption 1 needed to be edited: I love playing tennis— I first played when I was 9th grade while breaking the cultural and language barriers; I have played regularly, competitively ever since. Draft Caption 2 needed to be edited: I began to develop my life’s passion during the volunteer trips to my hometown with my U.S. classmates; a desire to help the rural Chinese students who struggle under poverty and lack of education resources. Draft Caption 3 needed to be edited: Outside of academics from college, I read many books on entrepreneurship and served on Student Government, the Varsity Tennis Team, Chinese Culture Club, Consulting Club, Entrepreneurship Club, and won Student Organization of the Year Award (for Entrepreneurship Club). Draft Caption 4 needed to be edited: Led a team of 20 to visit Silicon Valley, where we met Tim Cook (unfortunately, no photo was allowed inside the Apple Campus); to empower liberal arts students and women to step in tech. Draft Caption 5 needed to be edited: Iced coffee is my best friend at work — my summer internship in NYC; I am a city person. Draft Caption 6 needed to be edited: I am lucky enough to be a part of a new family with my American step-father; getting three of us together for holidays and making wooden gadgets are my favorite things to do.
