What other structure might be activated during a fear response (apart from the amygdala)? Interesting topic!
Maybe focus on ANXIETY and the BNST (not the amygdala)?? “It is expected that the anterodorsal bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (adBNST) causes anxiogenic (anxiety-producing) effects.”
See pg 326 of the attached article that might help you understand the behavioral experiments of fear and anxiety and their related neurobiological effects – don’t talk about all of them but use this article to narrow your focus
