The written assignment this week is Theory and Research. You will use the boxes (4.4 or 4.5) on pages 57-58 of your textbook to choose a theory from nursing or another discipline for this assignment. You will again search the library database site to find an article that uses your theory to guide a research study.
In your paper, you will introduce your paper, describe the theory you have chosen as well as the key concepts of the theory, describe your research study (including the study design, type of study, sampling method and sample and size, the purpose of the study, and the results. In paragraph four, you will discuss the connection between your theory and the study/findings. Paragraph five is your conclusion.
Remember to complete your paper in APA 7th Edition format with an appropriate title page. You will need at least two properly formatted references, including one reference for your theory and one being the study you are discussing. 
APA Tips
Some key points to remember about APA 7th edition:
All words of article titles should not be capitalized.
Journal names SHOULD be capitalized and italicized.
Volume numbers should be italicized also.
There is no space between the volume and issue numbers.
Issue numbers and page numbers ARE NOT italicized.
All article references must include a doi or url link.
