As an introduction, however, here is an overview of the order: A 4-5 page analysis paper that makes an argument comparing a thematic or formal element of two of the following novels: The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton,
O Pioneers! by Willa Cather,
The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway, and
The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner. Also, keep in mind, you must only use the two novels you choose to compare as your sources. Lastly, an example comparison essay about different texts is attached to the order to give you an idea of the type of structure and type of analysis expected in the essay you’ll write.
