Scott is a 23-year-old man admitted to an acute inpatient ward with a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder. Scott has been continuously responding to unseen stimuli telling the person to give him back his money. Due to his poor mental state, he was not taking seriously and connected his presentation as part of his illness initially. Scott sometimes becomes aggressive and targets a particular female staff whenever she is on shift and demands his money from her which resulted in moving the female staff to another ward for safeguarding purposes. Following that, Scott`s presentations continued and started targeting other female staff in an aggressive manner which made staff become concerned as started investigating. The issue was discussed with Scott to consent and the same was reported to the hospital safeguarding lead to start the investigation. Finally, the outcome of the investigation proved that Scott`s mother has been spending money on his bank card for online shopping and glossaries.
