Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is the national airlines of Pakistan and was one of the leading airlines in the world. It helped to setup other airlines including Emirates Airlines and Singapore Airlines. Both of these airlines are considered to be among the top airlines in the world today. Unfortunately, PIA has not fared as well as the airlines it helped to set up.
PIA has suffered financial losses, air crashes, a scandal of fake pilot licences, and has the highest employees to aircraft ratio in the world. While millions of expat Pakistanis living the middle east, Europe, North America and SE Asia use the airlines to travel to Pakistan, it is no longer their first choice.
The government is keen on getting PIA back on track to being one of the leading airlines in the world. With a new CEO, the company is working on devising a strategy for the long-term which will focus on the international market.
Your group has been assigned the task to critically evaluate PIA’s International Business Strategy and produce a report that will help the CEO to make decisions for the future.
Your group will need to develop a report which will include the following key items:

Critical evaluate PIA’s current situation. While developing this you should keep in mind the current situation in the aviation industry, key issues that may be unique to PIA, as well as the post COVID scenario. You should use key strategic management concepts, models and principles to develop your evaluation of PIA.
