Process Analysis presentation identifies and explains what steps must be taken to complete an operation or procedure. There are two kinds of process analysis presentations, directional and informative. You will pick one of the two for your presentation.
Directional Process tells the reader how to do or make something. In simple words, it gives directions.
(Examples: Telling a friend how to find your house, books on how to wire a house, how to repair a car, how to play winning poker, how to save more money, and so forth.)
Informative Process tells the reader how something is or was made or done, or how something works. Instead of telling people how to do something, like directional process, informative process describes the steps by which someone other than the reader does or makes something.
(Examples: how scientist discovered the polio vaccine, how a bill passes through congress, how chewing gum is made, how contact lenses were invented, or how an engine propels a jet.) This type of presentation gives information on a process that are not intended to be or cannot be duplicated by the individual reader.
DEVELOPING YOUR ESSAY OR PRESENTATION
-Select an appropriate subject (Learn a subject that is engaging enough for you to remember, yetdon’t present a boring subject like how to boil water)
-Describe any necessary equipment and define special terms (say necessary equipment, tools, and/or ingredients before thesis if necessary.
-Include all necessary steps in logical order. (Don’t leave out information while staying in chronological order)
