In Chapter 8 Aguinis discusses a form of Performance Management known as a 360 Review. In Chapter 9 Aguinis discusses the use of coaching and feedback as performance management skills. Based on your understanding of Chandler’s theory of performance management answer the following questions:
Explain whether or not you feel a 360-performance review would fit within Chandler’s theory of performance management and give an example from her book to support your answers.
How does each author, Aguinis and Chandler, use coaching and feedback in their theory of performance management? Provide at least one example to support your thoughts.
I will pursue this task by conducting interviews with Walmart’s manager in China-Helen Qi because of their experience handling the HR performance management system in organizational settings. Walmart in China is like Costco.
