It is the year 3021 and you are a college professor in the province of Quarropas (the northeast region of what used to be North America). Civilization has re-emerged, following the “Dark Ages” of the early 3rd millennium. Your course is entitled “The American Origins of Quarropian Culture”. In order to introduce your students to the distant past, you choose 4 examples of literature or film (who the heck reads anymore, right?) that you feel represents the history and culture of the USA.
