In the essay “What Students Need to Know about Rhetoric,” Hepzibah Roskelly quotes I.A. Richards, “Rhetoric… should be a study of misunderstandings and their remedies” (12). An analysis demonstrates learning and problem-solving.
Focus your topic on something, in particular, perhaps a misunderstanding or mistaken perception that needs clarification about your “hidden intellect” topic. The writer (you) and your audience are learning about the topic from the experts/sources you have researched. (My hidden intellect is manual labor, so something that people don’t understand about manual labor)
