I need help writing 5 journals before Dec 10 and I will include all the information required.
Journal 1
First consider why are you here? Why are you in college, taking English 111? What do you hope to take out of this class? What are your goals for college in general?
The course theme covers human language and communication—written, spoken, and otherwise—and how technology, social media, and societal trends are rapidly transforming language in ways we’ve never seen before. Consider the role that cell phones, social media, video chat, and technology have on friendships, relationships, family, and work. Is social media and cell phone addiction changing the course of communication in a positive or negative way? What impact does it have on your own life? As we continue the semester, we will be exploring this topic through various lens and people. You should save all of you journal entries you do either on your devices, or if you prefer writing by hand, in a drawer or folder. This is important because when it comes time to revisit these entries for submission, you need to have easy access to them.
Journal 2
React, Respond, and Reflect on both videos. How did they resonate or connect with you? What did you like/dislike about them? How did they compare to one another? Would you make any changes to them if you could? These questions don’t all need to be answered, but just offer an idea into what you can write about. The journals are supposed to belong to you and represent your individual mindset and thought process, so feel free to be creative.
Journal 3
Respond/React/Reflect on the Nicholas Carr Reading (keep for your records until you turn in all journal entries as a single entity in the future). You can use the Youtube video we watched in class, as well.

Journal 4
Journal (#4): When someone you are conversing with answers a call or takes out a phone to make a call, what has been your response? How did you feel? Unimportant? Understanding, especially if there might be an emergency? Angry or disgusted when you realized the call was trivial chit-chat? Have you changed the way you react to such situations over time? Support with a short personal story.
Journal 5
Respond/React/Reflect to one or both of the readings related to language, technology, and gender; please note: there will be a journal 5B in two weeks, which will be related to Twitter, social media, and First Amendment Principles. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO BOTH JOURNAL ARTICLES. Choose the one that sparks your interest and that you connect too more on a personal level.
