I am a religious studies major writing my senior thesis for my RS degree. I am writing a comparative thesis on Catholic theology vs. Lutheran/Calvinist theology during the time of the Protestant Reformation and how that relates to teachings of salvation in the respective churches. My plan was to begin with catholic understanding of sacred scripture & sacred tradition, and to branch off into why Luther and Calvin split from this idea and developed sola scriptura theology, and how these scriptural differences have contributed to our understanding of salvation (ie, free will vs predestination etc)
