i‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ need a response to this discussion: By now I feel like most have tried in this class after creating, developing, implementing, and evaluating their plan to see how it affected their community. There are many areas in nursing a person can be involved in, this class has reminded me how much it takes to become a community health nurse even at nature. Community health care zeros in on the health promotion, restorative care, and disease prevention primarily within a certain community. Since in acute setting patients move around much quicker, there is a greater need that is growing for a health care delivery system where individuals work, live, learn and socialize. In a community healthcare setting, nurses play the role of being leaders in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, and evaluating the publics different types of community services and needs. So I felt by teaching others about my healthy people 2030 topic, Increase the proportion of children who receive a developmental screening, I did accomplish the first objective by getting my knowledge and skills that I wanted others to learn across to many throughout the community. Not only did I use what skills I already had as a nurse but I also gained a different skill set along the way in how to target certain audiences and how to make my point better and make a difference in many lives. The health focused on bettering children lives by getting them developmentally screened more often by parents, so the target audience was the adult parents. I demonstrated the use of information technology in data gathering and analysis within my ‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍community by gather as much data from the internet, parents, and even case/social workers in order to be informed on the information that I was giving out and it’s credibility. Making sure sources found online from various articles, journals, pamphlets, and websites were peer reviewed and accurate when it came to giving information on the children, especially to their own parents. Parents are already protective about their children, so getting to work with them on a much closer level was great. When analyzing a community assessment to plan my health teaching project, it took much time because I did not know what to zero in on, but with the help of the instructor on the topic and much more research that populated helped. So much of the time was spent with the children but more went to researching different ideas. by creating my pamphlets and powerpoint to the daycare i felt it did justice in improving the health status , while eliminating some health disparities which may come in forms of parents simply not knowing where to find resources or how often they should screen children. I implemented my plan to educate others the whole time I was at the daycare. Whether that was collaborating with community partners such as the parents, core staff, social workers, my projected was tracked from beginning to end.
