Hi there. I have a lab report including an abstract + fig legend and rubric assignment due before class tomorrow. Things to consider: Why does fasting matter in a beetle? Methods, what did we do? How did we conduct the experiment? Could there have been a better method? Should we have used a better method? Etc. In the fruit fly paper, they had age matched controls, meaning these flies were all the same age. The beetles were not all the same age, no way of knowing if they were all the same age or not. Could that have contributed to the variability? Could you suggest doing something different next time?
