Some fast-fashion companies have adopted fashion trends forecasting for their supply chain management and marketing strategies and the adoption has positively impacted their revenues and positioning in the marketplace, while other fast-fashion retailers have experienced a negative impact on their performance.

This paper will explore the application of fashion trend forecasting in supply chain management and marketing in the fast fashion industry. Also, this paper will discuss the reasons behind the variations in the impact of fashion trend forecasting in supply chain management and marketing in the fast fashion industry. Furthermore, this paper will investigate the impact and benefits of the Covid-19 situation in the fast fashion industry.
This paper should follow the following structure:
1- Introduction: the introduction should include the research gap, the study contribution, and the research method.
2- Background:
A) Fashion industry and Fast Fashion Industry: this section should include the following:
– An introduction to the fashion industry
– Fashion definition
– Traditional fashion structure and characteristics for both businesses and customers. For example, businesses were accustomed to producing mass production and pre-determined fashion designs,and customers were less sensitive to fashion designs.
– Different internal factors that influence the fashion industry including fashion shows and changes in customers’ requirements. For example, in recent years fashion industry have witnessed an increased number of fashion shows that have increased fashion awareness among customers, and customers these years require more than just cheap clothes as they require cheap clothes as well as fashionable clothes, and to have these clothes to be delivered to markets during fashion events.
– Different external factors that influence the fashion industry including TV, movie industry, smart devices, and social media. These external factors should briefly explain the impact of the external factors on the fashion industry.

This section should include how researchers look to fast fashion from different perspectives as some of them look to fast fashion as a supply chain management method while others look to fast fashion as a marketing tool. this should be explained in two paragraphs max and the studies used for perceptions should be briefed in a table. the table should represent the authors’ names, year of publication, and the fast-fashion features that made the researchers look to it as a supply chain method or marketing tool.
