For your research paper, you should research one of the topics below using proper, reputable sources.
This paper should be formal in nature and should be written entirely in third person using professional language.
Choose from one of the following prompts:
1. Gitlin believes that “supersaturation” of media is greatly affecting people. Research a form of media that is particularly harmful or helpful to prove or disprove Gitlin’s point. You will need to both prove your point, while responding to what Gitlin says about media.
2. King believes there is great value in the horror and fantasy genres of film. What is a genre of literature, film, television, or other media that you find particularly valuable? To whom is it most valuable and why? Make sure you respond to King’s article as you prove your own thesis.
3. King does not feel that seeing violent movies is necessarily harmful for children. Is he right or is he wrong? Research a violent form of media, such as movies or video games, and discuss its impact on young people. Make sure you respond to King’s article as you prove your own thesis.
